About us

STEREO 8-track was started in January 2025 after we have been running a group on Facebook since 2013. The goal of the website is to collect as much useful information about 8-Track (also called STEREO 8 or 8-Track) as possible and present it in a neater and more clear way than is possible on social media.

We hope to create a gathering point and network for everyone interested in the old 8-track audio format, whether it is cassettes/cartridges or players in the form of car stereos, portable players, tape players or home stereo/Hi-Fi components. Initially we are concentrating on creating a good 8-track environment in Norway and the Nordic countries, but eventually we may also focus on Europe.
